Whilst studying at the Yehudi Menuhin School Natalie performed as a soloist with the London Mozart Players under Joji Hattori, debuted at the Royal Festival Hall both as soloist and chamber musician, participated in masterclasses with Lord Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich and made her Wigmore Hall début. Natalie was awarded The Leon Award, Eleanor Warren Prize, Contemporary Music Performance Prize and the Philip Newman Prize for Violin at the Royal Northern College of Music and after receiving a First Class BMus Degree, Natalie was awarded Distinctions for both her Masters Degrees at the RNCM and at the Royal College of Music in London. Natalie also attended IMS Prussia Cove, ProQuartet and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in the chamber music class of Gunter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet) whilst fulfilling chamber music Junior Fellowships at Trinity and RNCM. Natalie has won numerous chamber music awards including 1st Prize in the 2010 Royal Over-Seas League Competition, 2nd Prize Trondheim International String Quartet Competition, Tillett Trust, Park Lane Group, Kirckman Concert Society Award, Tunnell Trust, Cavatina Chamber Music Trust and Live Music Now and the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation Award. Natalie has gone on to enjoy numerous performances at the Purcell Room, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Concertgebouw and the Wigmore Hall and recorded an album of Gerald Finzi’s chamber works with the label Resonus Classics. Live broadcasts have included BBC Radio 3’s In Tune, Viennese Radio as a winner of the Austrian Wiener Klassik Prize for interpretations of Joseph Haydn and Australian Broadcasting Corporation Network. Continuing a busy chamber music career Natalie has recently performed with ensembles such as the Klouda Ensemble, The Ossian Ensemble, Ensemble Amorpha and the London International Players, Natalie is co-director of the Highgate International Chamber Music Festival and is a Tutor in Chamber Music at the Royal Northern College of Music. As a keen composer and advocate of contemporary music and performance Natalie’s solo violin work Three Glimpses was performed at the 2011 Avignon International Violin Competition Gala Concert and following this Natalie was commissioned to write an Olympics inspired Quartet Five Rings which was premiered in London during the 2012 Olympics.
