Constructed by the Weavers’ Guild, hence the name The Weavers’ Bastion (Bastionul Țesătorilor), this impressive fortification has four levels with 4 m thick walls in the basement and 1 m at the fourth level. With shooting holes and two watch towers, its architecture is unique for south-eastern Europe. With its high-quality acoustics, it is a perfect venue for operatic and orchestral performances.
