Dear friends,
It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the first edition of vibrate!sessions in Sfântu Gheorghe. We would like to thank the Sfântu Gheorghe Town Hall and Kónya Ádám Cultural House for the proposal to initiate an autumn event in the vibrate! Ethos. Like vibrate!festival in the summer, vibrate!sessions is about the unique encounters brought about by chamber music, where the masterpieces of the past meet contemporary sensibility in concerts featuring young stars of the international scene. Appearing for the first time in Romania, American cellist Bartholomew LaFollette will perform the virtuosic solo cello sonata by Gyorgy Ligeti. London-based Mercury Quartet and versatile Italian pianist Dario Bonuccelli will bring you Messiaen‘s legendary Quartet for the End of Time, and celebrate Romanian master of postmodernism Dan Dediu, who turns 50 this year. The music of Bach and Rachmaninov receives another jazz twist with Luiza Zan and the vibrate!festival chamber ensemble. Join us for these autumn sessions and let your heart vibrate to the finest sounds.
