The first documentary of the Fortified Reformed Castle Church of Sfântu Gheorghe dates back to 1332, getting its actual shape in 1547, by the order of the patron Pál Daczó. Since then, the Church suffered only renovations, there have been no alterations on the walls or on the roof of the church. The organ of the church was built in 1894 by József Angster, Pécs’s organ master. The church was originally surrounded by two ring walls. The time when the castle walls were built is unknown, but most probably, they were raised around the church in the XVI.th century.
